How long does a Tour take? A chat beforehand then approximately 1½ hours in the cave. What is the cost? Adult - $23   Concession - $19.50  Child: (5-15) - $15   How far is it to the Cave? The Cave entrance is about 40 metres up the path from the parking area. Are there many steps? There are 30 steps down into Careys Cave. After this, most of the pathways are fairly level with occasional steps. Is it narrow? Will I feel claustrophobic? Some people feel uncomfortable about going down the entrance steps, however the chambers are quite spacious. If you do enter on a tour and decide immediately that you are not comfortable, the guide will take you out again. What is the Cave temperature?  13 degC - 17 degC (slight seasonal variation). Is it suitable for my 5 year old child or 90 year old granny? The paths and steps are quite easy for anyone who is reasonably mobile.  NB: If you have a toddler, please be mindful of the annoyance factor for other visitors. Babies may be carried in a front harness but not in a backpack to avoid damage to the cave (or baby). Can I take my dog / cat / pet goldfish with me?  Animals are not permitted in Careys Cave. The only exception is a certified Guide Dog (German Shepherd, Labrador, etc.!) Can I take photographs? Photography is permitted in the cave.  For all enquiries, please contact us.
